What does Kodesh mean?
Hebrew: set apart. Reserved. Distinct. Belonging to Yahweh.
Kodesh (קֹדֶשׁ) is the Hebrew word usually translated holy in English Bibles. But "holy" in English can mean almost anything religious; the Hebrew is sharper. Kodesh means set apart for Yahweh's use — distinct from common, reserved from ordinary, belonging to the One who reserved it.
The first place in Scripture something is called kodesh is the seventh day: "God blessed the seventh day, and made it kodesh, because he rested in it from all his work of creation which he had done" (Genesis 2:3). The first place a piece of ground is called kodesh is at the burning bush, where Moshe stood: "Put off your sandals from off your feet, for the place where you stand is kodesh ground" (Exodus 3:5). The burning bush is the visual sign of this whole ministry, and that verse is the source of the name.
So Kodesh, as a name for an app and a website, is a posture. Not Kodesh-the-brand. Kodesh-the-disposition: the work and the rhythm and the time set apart for the One who set them apart first.

Who are "followers of The Way"?
The original name. Older than "Christian." Direct from Yeshua's own words.
Yeshua said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (Yochanan 14:6). Decades before anyone in the assembly was called Christian, the followers of Yeshua were called followers of The Way — tēs hodou in Greek, after His own self-identification.
Lukas uses the term repeatedly in Acts. Sha'ul, before his conversion, sought authority "that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Yerushalayim" (Acts 9:2). Years later, in Ephesus, "some were hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way" (Acts 19:9). In the silversmiths' riot, "there arose no small stir concerning the Way" (Acts 19:23). Sha'ul on trial: "this I confess to you, that after the Way, which they call a sect, so I serve the God of our fathers" (Acts 24:14).
The label Christian appears later — first at Antioch, used by outsiders: "the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch" (Acts 11:26). The early followers did not name themselves that. They named themselves after the Way, after Him. We use the original.

Why not "Christian" or "Messianic Jewish"?
The Way is for every nation. No people group has the corner on the Father.
"Christian" has come, over seventeen centuries, to mean almost anything — the Crusades, Constantine, denominations, megachurches, political parties, donation campaigns. Every era has bent the word. Going back to followers of The Way is not pedantry; it is going back to the original, before the bending.
"Messianic Jewish" rightly recovers the Hebrew roots of the faith — Shabbat, the moedim, Yeshua as the promised Mashiach. But it implies an ethnic frame: that this is for Jewish people who recognise Yeshua. The Father's invitation is wider. Sha'ul: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female; for you are all one in Messiah Yeshua" (Galatians 3:28). Kefa to Cornelius: "Truly I perceive that God doesn't show favouritism; but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him" (Acts 10:34–35).
Yeshua to the Samaritan woman: the day was coming when worship would happen "neither in this mountain, nor in Yerushalayim" (Yochanan 4:21). The Father is not pinned to a place, a people, or a passport. Kodesh is for every English-reading follower of The Way on earth — Jewish, Gentile, doesn't matter; drawn by the Father, doesn't matter from where.

Who built this and why?

- No softening. Yeshua said hard things. We don't smooth them out. Truth offends the one who is not being drawn and rescues the one who is — either way, it is not ours to bend.
- No place-centring. No default Jerusalem, no "the holy land," no flags. The Father is worshipped in spirit and truth.
The apostles did not bend the truth. It cost them their lives. That is the model. If a piece of copy, a feature, or a financial decision requires softening what Yeshua said, the answer is no — whatever the cost.
